You might notice that things look a little different around here. We’ve undertaken an evolution in our branding and name. We’ve chosen the word evolution with intention because what we’ve done is more than a rebrand. It’s a re-commitment to providing empathetic, human-powered holistic support for people impacted by cancer.

Back in 2016, I co-founded CancerAid alongside a talented group of passionate oncologists – we all saw an opportunity to enhance the cancer treatment journey. We wanted to empower people to be actively involved in their cancer care, not just passive recipients of their cancer treatment – it’s what our members told us they wanted.

Whilst there have been some aesthetic changes – we’re still the same passionate team we always have been. We’ve built a robust continuity plan to ensure that members and partners experience an easy transition, and members currently using Osara programs will experience 100% service continuity.

Since our launch, we have worked with 1000’s of patients and caregivers and in that time, we’ve also watched the strain on the healthcare service increase due, not only due to a recent pandemic but also population changes and increasing demand. We know that people need more than traditional medicine can afford to offer. Patients aren’t getting the opportunity to take control of their own health outcomes simply because there aren’t enough resources to offer the information and guidance necessary.

As our team has grown, so has our knowledge of each individual’s requirements. We know that there is no one size fits all approach to cancer care. We know that daily reminders of a diagnosis aren’t always welcomed and we know that people are ready to take back control of their health outcomes.

With that in mind, we’ve taken the opportunity to evolve, expand on our offering, and innovate our product to meet the needs of our society. We understand the healthcare system in and out, we’ve worked with a diverse range of people impacted by cancer and we’ve taken consultation from HR leaders to ensure we’re educated on the world of employee wellbeing. As ever, we’re backed by research and are continuously taking advice from expert clinicians and leaders in the field to make sure we’re doing right by our customers and members.

The evolution of our business is now reflected in our brand. In becoming Osara Health, we invite a clear connection with health, rather than with cancer. We are committed to repair, rejuvenation and assistance. Our new name represents this.

Aside from our name, our new brand is warm and human-centric, this better reflects our relationship between our health coaches and the people that use Osara. The Osara Health brand is clear and simple – because we know that the cancer experience is anything but.

Throughout this process, our mission has never changed: we are still transforming the care in cancer, and empowering people and organizations impacted by cancer to thrive through expertise, empathy and technology.

Whilst it’s business as usual, we’re certainly taking this as an opportunity to reflect back on our wins, learnings and the enduring support we’ve received from customers, advisors and investors – and we’re grateful for this exceptional community.
